3 domestic and national wheat varieties from Tekfen Agri to Turkish farmers

Registration Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture registered three new winter bread wheat varieties of Tekfen Agri. New wheat varieties of Tekfen Agri, which have high grain yield, suitable bread quality, and wide adaptation capability, will be offered to Turkish farmer, particularly in Central Anatolia and Thrace regions.

Three new winter bread wheat varieties of Tekfen Agri, conducting its activities with this mission, were registered by the Registration Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture. New wheat varieties of Tekfen Agri, which have high grain yield, suitable bread quality, and wide adaptation capability, will be offered to Turkish farmer, particularly in Central Anatolia and Thrace regions.

Tekfen 2064, Tekfen 2104, and Tekfen 2239 winter bread wheat varieties were evaluated on the basis of reports for 2-year field trials conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture within the scope of registration procedures concerning Registration of New Plant Varieties. Tekfen Agri General Manager Emrah İnce stated “Tekfen 2064, Tekfen 2104, and Tekfen 2239 winter bread wheat varieties were unanimously approved by the commission and registered upon separate evaluation of varieties in the Registration Commission, where agricultural and technological values of each wheat variety, obtained in field trials conducted for two years, were discussed. We wish our new wheat seed varieties, which have been recently registered, brings good fortune and abundance to Turkish agriculture and Turkish farmers”.
